A note from Carol Panza

CMP Associates & Management Consulting

The International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) has been my professional home for more than 30 years. I joined when I was five (5). … That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I have worked with several pro-bono clients during my professional consulting career. At the end of 2015, I was asked to partner with another Honorary Life Member of the International Society for Performance Improvement, Dr. Roger Addison, to lead a pro-bono project for the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia.

Since I have a passion for working with organizations and especially non-profits, this seemed like the perfect fit. The International Society for Performance Improvement has a focus on providing pro-bono consulting to non-profits especially non-profits who can and do benefit from our performance improvement approach and services.

Donate4Change through a partnership with the International Society for Performance Improvement is looking to support ISPI in expanding our footprint in the non-profit arena. We look for non-profits willing and able to share essential information about the organization, the context in which it operates, how the organization “works,” relevant goals and objectives, actual performance results, and other financial data. This logically leads us to the public sector: government services such as police, infrastructure, public transit; and nonprofits, including Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and other nonprofits that are community-serving. Supporting ISPI through a campaign like Donate4Change, allows us to not only expand our footprint, but also to encourage and support work in your own community.

We look for non-profit organizations that are local to the consulting team because:

1) It is easier to find and connect with organizations local to you through your personal and/or professional network.

2) A client that is local to, at least, some of the consulting team, reduces travel budgets for the pro bono consultants facilitating important investment in onsite work with the client.

Coming soon in my next blog post, I will describe for you getting started with the Settlement Music School project. So, you will want to stay tuned!
