Fortifying A Legacy: A Case Study of The Settlement Music School
ISPI annual conferences are held in a new city each year, and to thank our hosts, we offer our pro bono performance improvement consulting services to a local non-profit organization. Pro bono services include assessment of performance needs, strategy development, implementation of recommendations and empirical assessment of results.
The Settlement Music School, has been serving the Philadelphia area for more than 100 years, counting Albert Einstein and Kevin Bacon amongst its alumni. The Settlement Music School excels at teaching, guiding and mentoring talented young learners.
ISPI consultants worked with all levels of the school staff–from those working directly with students and parents to those making decisions on direction and planning.
After thoroughly reviewing the dynamics and school processes, ISPI used data and discussion to drive recommendations. The recommendations supported a more customer-centric approach to the school’s registration processes and improvement in technology to streamline the consumer experience. ISPI focused on creating a support system and implementing enhanced resources for staff on the front line to boost acquisition and retention.
